"Go Lala Go 2" follows the adventures of a young Chinese career woman. The sequel of the 2010 smash hit, directed and starred by Xu Jinglei, also features an all-star cast including Ariel Lin, Vic Zhou and Chen Bolin.

The first film has been regarded as the kick-starter of the current trend of Chinese romantic dramedies. The series takes inspiration from a best-selling novel penned by Chinese writer Ke Li.

"Go Lala Go 2" is set to be released on Dec. 4 in China, Singapore, North America, New Zealand and Australia. It will hit Hong Kong and Macau theaters on Dec. 10 and Taiwan's on Dec. 11.

The film will also be carried exclusively on FIC's Chinese movies channel, as well as on Star Chinese Movies, and on its VOD and online catch-up platforms across North America and Asia Pacific.

For the recent period, FIC has been strengthening its deals regarding Chinese original scripted content.

On the other hand, New Classics Media has also been faring well in the box office with its hits "Jian Bing Man" and "Goodbye Mr. Loser," which have grossed $187 million and $213 million, respectively.

Joon Lee, the chief of FIC's original production in mainland China, said: "We are particularly grateful to work with NCM to both co-produce and distribute 'Go Lala Go 2.' This collaboration is definitely a good foundation for both parties to engage a step further in the Chinese movie business."
