Bryan Singer's forthcoming Marvel Comics film "X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to connect Magneto and Quicksilver.

Evan Peters is set to play Peter Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver, in Singer's upcoming film. In his interview with Details, Peters said that the story would feature Quicksilver in his desire to search for his father. The actor added that Quicksilver became engaged with the "X-Men train," got sucked up in the "Apocalypse madness," and tried to stop the supervillain from destroying the world.

Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is also set to dig deeper the "parental side of things," as per Cinema Blend. According to the publication, Magneto was Quicksilver's father in the cinematic universe. In fact, this was evidenced in Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

In the aforementioned film, Quicksilver helped Erik Lensherr out of prison. Quicksilver learned about Magneto's power and mentioned that his mom had known a guy who could have controlled metal. With this sequence, how it would bloom in Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, fans are set to see the mutants in Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse," which centers on the rise of En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse, as her recruits his powerful Horsemen to help him destroy humanity. To prevent their archenemy from fulfilling his plan of massive destruction, Professor X and Raven must lead a team of young mutants.

Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 27, 2016.
