Telecom company Huawei has started selling smartphones in the Honor series through the Indian online market Snapdeal since Nov. 2, Monday.

The vice president of Huawei's India Consumer Business Group, P Sanjeev, remarked that there is a strong potential to expand Huawei's domain in India, according to Business Standard.

Currently, around a million people in India have acquired an Honor smartphone, and Sajeev is confident that Huawei will reap more sales by the end of the year. The company known for affordable, quality phones has set a goal of selling two million units of Honor smartphones by the end of the year.

To keep up with the competition, Huawei has also provided discounts amounting to as much as ten percent off the market price for the Honor 4X, Honor 4X gold version, Honor 4C and Honor Bee if people buy them through India's HDFC credit and debit cards.

Initially, the Chinese company only sold Honor devices through e-commerce giant Flipkart in 2014.

While both Flipkart and Snapdeal now have Huawei's smartphones in the Honor range, only Flipkart has the rights to offer the premium devices Honor 6 Plus and Honor 7 in the Indian digital market.

The Honor 7 is Huawei's recent flagship phone that has a 5.2-inch screen and an impressive 1080 x 1920 resolution.

Android 5.0 (Lollipop) is installed right from the get go in the Honor 7, and it is applicable for an upgrade once Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) is released.

The flagship phone from the Chinese company utilizes a 2.2GHz octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 935 processor to handle heavy usage and includes 3GB of RAM, according to 9to5Google.

A notable 20MP rear camera is accompanied by the 8MP front camera while the 16GB internal storage can be supported by as much as 128GB in external storage through a microSD card.

The flagship Huawei smartphone Honor 7 was released in July 2015 and can be ordered through the United Kingdom version of Amazon for about $380 and through Flipkart for 22,999 rupees or around $350.
