The second meeting of UAE (2-1-1, 7 points) and Timor-Leste (0-3-2, 2 points) in the AFC 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers is set on November 12, Thursday at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

UAE won their first encounter on June 16, 1-0, at the Shah Alam Stadium in Malaysia when Al-Abyad winger Omar Abdulrahman found the back of Timor-Leste goalkeeper Ramos Maxanches' net ten minutes before fulltime to gain a much-needed three points for Mahdi Ali's side in the Group A standings.
