President Xi Jinping's wife, who was a former singer, expressed her support for HIV/AIDS sufferers through a six-and-a-half-minute video which showcases her singing with students from the Red Ribbon School in Linfen, Shanxi Province.

In the video, the children can be heard background-singing lines in a song and are shown engaging in their daily school activities with the First Lady.

Some of the Red Ribbon students were also interviewed regarding their struggles since being diagnosed with the disease and how they manage to survive the discrimination while some students sing with Peng Liyuan in the background.

"Oh, for a view of the sunrise, and for a breath of the sea . . . dear friends, I'm afraid of what's to become of me," a chorus of children sang melancholically while clips of their daily school activities are being shown.

While the Chinese First Lady escalated the emotion of the song with lines such as: "Shiny, bright dreams . . . beautiful hopes. Facing up bravery to Fate's decree, together gazing at the sunrise, together breathing in the sea. Dear friends, we are together for you and for me."

As China's Ministry of Health Ambassador for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Goodwill Ambassador for HIV/AIDS and TB for the World Health Organization, Peng Liyuan lent her voice to the children from the Red Ribbon School and all those who suffer from the disease in order to end their fight against discrimination.

According to her, her advocacy to support those who suffer from HIV/AIDS continues as long as she can still make a difference.
