New "Arrow" season 4 details will feature Team Arrow rescuing Ray Palmer in Episode 6 promo, and a possible death of a character in the mid-season finale.
The trailer for Episode 6, titled "Lost Souls," will feature the return of Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh) to the show, as Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), with help the of Michael "Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum) discovered that Ray's alive at the end of episode 5. The video sees Ray sending a video message to both Felicity and Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) as he stated that he has been shrunk down and captured by someone against his will, ComicBook reported.
Felicity soon discovers that Ray Palmer has been captured by Damien Darhk (Neil McDonough) and plans to use the technology in Ray's A.T.O.M. suit for his twisted plans. This leads to Team Arrow conducting a rescue mission and stop Damien from getting the secrets of Ray's technology.
Ray Palmer was presumed dead during the events of season 4, but in fact was alive as he shrunk down in size given fans a taste of his size-altering powers. Ray will eventually star in a new spin-off show "Legends of Tomorrow," along with Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wensworth Miller), Mick Rory/Heatwave (Dominic Purcell) and Prof. Martin Stein and Jax Jackson/Firestorm (Victor Garber and Franz Drameh).
In other news, "Arrow" executive producer Wendy Mericel told TV Line that a possible main character's death could happen sooner than audiences may think. Although she did not say a name, she hinted that answer may happen in the mid-season finally of season 4.
Several names of the possible main character deaths include Felicity Smoak, John Diggle, Quentin Lance and Thea Queen. Majority of the speculation could be either John Diggle or Quentin Lance since they have some personal connections to Damien Darhk, while Felicity is the obvious and most likely obvious choice for a character death due to her relationship with Oliver while Thea Queen will be the least due to the Lazarus Pit's effect and she might be put down by someone for good this time.
"Arrow" season 4 airs on Wednesdays at 8/7pm central on the CW Network.
