T-Mobile recently announced that streaming video content from Netflix, Hulu and HBO will no longer count as subscribers' data usage. The new feature is called Binge On and will cover 20 other apps.

T-Mobile unveiled its newest feature on its website posting, "Video now streams at T-Mobile for HBO, Hulu, Netflix, SHOWTIME, Sling TV, STARZ subscribers without using up their high-speed data - 24 total services included initially with more to come."

T-Mobile has been breaking the foundations and norms of the mobile carrier industry with its "Un-Carrier" initiative. The new Binge On feature is part of Un-Carrier X, the tenth part of the series of announcements.

According to Motherboard, T-Mobile's game plan is relatively simple, and that is to pull customers out of its two biggest rivals, Verizon and AT&T. With its latest offering of unlimited data from selected video streaming websites, analysts agree that T-Mobile might be able to persuade its rivals' customers to switch networks.

For now the Binge On feature will offer free video streaming with 480p quality which is DVD-like quality. The new feature may support some major video content providers, but it is missing the biggest video provider of them all, YouTube. On this matter, T-Mobile said that it is currently working with YouTube in order to add its content into the Binge On service. T-Mobile said that they could not meet the specified tech specs requirement that YouTube demands, but the company is working on it.

T-Mobile CEO John Legere said that the company is open to support porn sites as well, as long as they meet the terms required.
