One Direction singer Harry Styles is seemingly preserving his locks for some good cause and will have them cut for a charitable cause someday.

The declaration was made by the singer himself while he was chatting with Prince Harry at Royal Variety Performance held at Royal Albert Hall in London on Nov. 13, Friday.

"I'm not planning on it right now," said the 21-year-old singer on being asked by the royal family member when was the last time he got a haircut, Us Weekly reported. The singer further added that at some point he will cut them for charity.

When Styles was asked afterwards if he will go for the beard like Prince Harry, the singer was quick to point out that he will never keep any facial hair

The annual gala was attended by several senior members of the British royal family. The event saw the performances of One Direction, Little Mix, Sir Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Josh Groban and Kacey Musgraves. It was hosted by British comedian Jack Whitehall.

The event was one of the last few private performances before One Direction goes for a hiatus. The band's recently released fifth album, "Made In The AM," is receiving mixed responses. It is the band's first work after their former member Zayn Malik left the group abruptly in March leading to a social media uproar.

Meanwhile, another band member, Louis Tomlinson, has recently hinted that the one of the single from the recently-released album, "Perfect," is highly influenced by Styles' past relationship with Taylor Swift. Styles and Swift have famously dated for a brief period in 2014 after which the "Shake It Off" hit maker remained single for a long time.

"I think everybody draws from personal experiences, so of course to a degree I'm sure that influenced some of it," said Tomlisnson, who is also the co-writer of the song by Styles, People reported.
