New rumor says that Samsung Galaxy S7 Premium Edition will have a Korean variant which is said to be a premium version, which might be limited to specific regions.

As the name suggests, the device ranks above its European and North American counterparts. Along with this, there are some internal hardware changes on the device. The said flagship smartphone is said to feature a 4K display and a dual-lens camera module from Sony, according to Phone Arena.

It also suggests that the handset will be powered by Exynos 8890 SoC chipset. The Exynos 8890 comes with the company’s personal Mongoose M1 cores incorporated with four ARM cortex model. Exynos 8890 was recently launched by the South Korean tech giant and the processor brags a lot of power.

Its graphics processor is the Mali-T880 with 12 cores, and the second version of the Exynos 8890 for the Galaxy S7 Special Edition has the Mali-T880 with 14 cores. ARM has said that the graphics processor is scalable from 1 to as many as 16 cores, Ubergizmo reported. 

There are also rumors of the Galaxy S7 being powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 820 chipset, paired with an Adreno 530 GPU. The recent rumor posted on Weibo page also suggests that it is possible that half of Galaxy S7 units will be shipped with Snapdragon 820, while the remaining would be shipped with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 8890 processors.

It is Samsung’s first attempt to feature a 4K display on their handset, if the rumor is true. Currently, Samsung’s forthcoming flagship does not have any confirmed design and aesthetic changes.

The Galaxy S7 will be a follow-up flagship to the popular Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge from Samsung and is expected to be unveiled at the Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event on Feb. 21 in Barcelona.
