By putting on a prosthetic nose and chin plus some make and using the name Jenny, Adele impersonated herself and pranked several other female singers who were also impersonating her. The scene was for the TV special "Adele at the BBC" aired on Friday.

Adele was made to perform last, but with just a few lines singing "Hello," some of the impersonators realized early on it was the real singer in front of them. Before going on stage, she used a deeper voice which convinced the other singers she was a different person.

The special aired on the day that her 11-track album, "25," became available on the market. The banter backstage before the mock audition was a good opportunity for Adele - who took a few years off from her career to give birth to son Angelo in 2012 - to get feedback from her anticipated track.

One of the impersonators says she can't wait for the album to come out, while another shares her observation that the singer was taking her time while fans waited three years since she released "21."

However, on the same day, her record-breaking "Hello" - the carrier of the new album - slipped to 2nd place in Official Chart for Single as Justin Bieber's "Sorry" grabbed top spot with 5.35 million streams globally.

The flip phone that Adele used in the video of "Hello" was used on "Saturday Night Live" to introduce the British singer. Host Matthew McConaughey's flip phone rings and when he answers the call, the person on the other line requests to speak to Adele, reports People.

McConaughey hands over the phone Adele who curtly replies "Hello" which prompts the host to quip, "It's always for Adele!"
