Nintendo fans will now have the ability to buy new and refurbished consoles, games, and accessories on the company's official eBay store, just in time for Black Friday and the holiday shopping season. The "Featured" category includes hardware such as the 2DS system, Wii controllers, and games including Super Mario 3D Land. They are available at Buy-It-Now prices rather than through auctions, but no discounts or deals exist yet. Nintendo is also celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Super Famicom (SNES) system.

The Nintendo of America eBay store includes restored 3DS consoles. Wii U games available include Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros., according to GameSpot.

The company's new eBay shop might be a wise move, as the online auction site is much more accessible than Nintendo's online store. Shopping is much easier for people with an eBay account.

Nintendo's eBay store had a quiet launch. However, more holiday shoppers and feedback ratings could result in more consoles and games, and new deals.

Nintendo is also making tech news with the 25th anniversary of its Super Famicom gaming console, and Super Mario World and F-Zero games. They were launched on Nov. 21, 1990.

Compared to modern trends it is surprising that the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) only launched two video games with the NES system, according to Kotaku. However, they were both high-quality titles.

The 300,000 units in the first production run sold within hours. Super Mario World followed Super Mario Bros. 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), and introduced Mario's dinosaur friend Yoshi.

Demand was so high for the SNES during its Wednesday launch that it caused chaos at shopping centers. The Japanese government requested subsequent  game console roll-outs to be scheduled for weekends.

Nintendo also started shipping the Super Famicom units at night. That was to prevent robberies by the  Yakuza organized crime group.

Here is the ending for Super Mario World:
