Besides the official Nintendo online store, fans of the gaming giant could buy Nintendo products now from eBay. The eBay store carries refurbished consoles, new games, accessories and new consoles.

TCJ reports that the eBay outlet will offer Nintendo products not available in other retailers outside official Nintendo America stores. While the move appears to be a random action on Nintendo's part, the website notes that "it makes a lot of sense" because of the lack of great patronage from customers of its official stores.

Engadget points out that while the Nintendo online stores is "kind of off the beaten path, where a lot of shoppers won't come across it," eBay is a well established online marketplace. It provides Nintendo more visibility that it would get on its online stores. eBay is also more convenient for consumers who already have an account with the ecommerce site.

Outside Nintendo store and before the eBay site, Nintendo users searched for refurbished consoles on Craigslist and Amazon. However, Ubergizmo notes that "there are times when the deal might look too shady." Buying from the official online store and eBay would help buyers from being scam victims.

Its opening is also timed with the Christmas gift-buying season, although the only item on sale in the eBay Nintendo store is a Wii Fit U bundle. Other than the Wii Fit U bundle, the eBay Nintendo store has 33 other items that are priced regularly.
