Redditors are debating what the reasons are why Ronda Rousey's feet had hues of yellow and purple when she lost to Holly Holm on Nov. 14.

There are at least three major theories cited by Redditors behind the skin discoloration, reports News.com.au.

First is jaundice. Some suggest that steroid use for at least two years causes athletes to develop jaundice which causes skin to turn yellow. However, MMA fighter Julie Kedzie debunked the theory, saying she often has yellow color on her feet even if she does not use steroids.

Second is the octagon canvas which when it rubs off on the feet, plus, the cold weather in Melbourne, caused discoloration of the lower limb. Kedzie says she also experiences it that's why after a bout, she scrubs her feet to remove the yellow color.

Third is Reynaud's disease, which according to Mayo Clinic, happens when smaller arteries that supply blood to the skin narrow and limit blood circulation to affected area such as fingers and toes. These limbs feel numb and cold as response to cold temperatures or stress.

Although most of the time the condition is harmless, when loss of blood flow permanently damages the tissue, it could lead to damage.

Other guesses include circulation problems, the application of resin to the feet for grip which develops the yellow tinge on the sole, weight reduction, effect of dehydration, dirty floors and yellow hue on the picture.

Other than her discolored feet, many UFC fans believe Ronda's face likewise sported darker colors due to the injuries delivered by Holm's feet. That is likely the reason why the defeated UFC women's bantamweight champion covered her head with a hoodie and her face with a travel pillow when she arrived at the LA airport last week, notes Daily Mail.
