Charlie Puth has talked about what went through his mind when his lips locked with Meghan Trainor during the American Music Awards 2015 on Nov. 22, Sunday.
In an interview with TMZ, Puth said he and Trainor are just friends even though he seemed to enjoy the first few seconds of the kiss he got at the AMAs. He said, "The 10 seconds making out was fun, and I enjoyed."
Puth avoided answering the question whether or not something is brewing between him and Trainor especially after they kissed onstage after their 2015 AMA performance.
The duo took the Microsoft Theater stage by storm when they sang a medley of songs that made the crowd sing along. The hits included" Marvin Gaye" and Like I'm Gonna Lose You."
Just seconds after the performance ended, the pair surprised many by kissing and holding each other tight for more than 10 seconds.
Just moments after he stepped out of the stage, Twitter was awash with rumors that Puth was having an affair with the "All About That Bass" singer but the "One Call Away" singer refuted claims that they were dating.
On the other hand, Trainor seemed excited by the dating rumors. She posted a photo of their stage-kissing on her Instagram account.
The kiss confirmed Trainor's wish to kiss Puth way back when she talked about kissing him at the end of their music video shoot "Marvin Gaye" in April, MTV reported.
Even though Trainor's dream to kiss Puth during their music video was not fulfilled, she finally did it months later. She wanted to kiss him during the shoot, but she did not because her parents and Puth's parents were around at the time.
According to Trainor, she and Puth had their families and friends supporting throughout the music video shoot if "Marvin Gaye."
