No thanks to the MPAA the YTS/YIFY team is essentially dead and Popcorn Time pops in and out of the torrent scene but one free streaming service seems all geared up to step up in their absence - cCloud TV. A new report said the Free TV service is back online and raring to become "the future of IPTV," following months of self-imposed hiatus.

Dubbed by BGR as the "ultimate pirate TV streaming service," cCloud TV is fully operational anew after taking some time off (one reason for the break is the relentless campaign being waged by copyright holders to put the service out of action. This time around, web-based app cCloud TV is released in Beta v.06 and is nicknamed by its developers as Rise.

Operators of the cCloud TV are upbeat that torrent fans will forget about the YTS and Popcorn Time for now as the new service boasts of "hundreds of channels and new features." Among the things to love about the service are the following:

Multi-platform design

BGR said that cCloud TV will work on conventional and mobile computing devices and will run smoothly on Android, iOS and Windows. Users can choose to install the app on a tablet, smartphone and desktop or laptop and cCloud TV will deliver the same free TV streaming service it is designed for.

Free and Pay TV channels fully accessible

The basic cCloud TV function is "a portal that aggregates IP TV streams from around the web," meaning users can watch their favorite shows on major television channels with the paywall on Pay TVs essentially circumvented. Among the popular channels that can be found on cCloud TV are AMC, ESPN and HBO.

For users this translates to unimpeded and real-time access to mega-hit shows such as The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.

User-friendly

Hardcoded with the cCloud TV app is a flash player, its default mode, that according to BGR makes the streaming service easy to use. The application also natively supports widely-used VLC and Chromecast that further the service's user-friendly features.

Stability

As mentioned, cCloud TV is also on the takedown list of the MPAA and other copyright holders so for good measure the operators run the service on two solid servers: ccloudtv.org and ccld.io.

And one thing that greatly distinguishes cCloud TV from Popcorn Time is a feature that permits the uploading of contents that leads to two key benefits - the building up of cCloud user community and encouraging a file-sharing setting that made The Pirate Bay hugely popular.
