What happened on Friday night at Novosibirsk in Russia reads like a James Bond movie complete with explosion, sex and a pretty woman.

But the female here is no damsel-in-distress. The lead role was hers since she, Russian MP Oksana Bobrovskaya, was a member of Russian President Vladimir Putin's United Russia Party and deputy general director of Diskus Plus Company.

At 30 and with a face and body that could pass for an actress, commercial model or beauty queen, Oksana and her husband, Nikita, formerly with Russia's special services, or spy agency, were found half-naked and dead at the back seat of their family vehicle, a Toyota Rav 4, reports The Telegraph.

Because they were naked from the waist down when found and being at the back seat, it fueled speculations that the couple were having sex when their car exploded. However, the Siberian Times reports that the couple - who left behind a cherubic four-year-old daughter named Angelina - was going through a marital problem. They were married twice on July 17, 2010 and April 7, 2011, according to her Facebook account.

Unconfirmed report say that Nikita accused Oksana of having an affair with a rich lover which led to speculation that Nikita, who was unemployed, detonated a grenade that blew up their car and killed them. The car exploded outside Diskus's parking area. Diskus is one of the largest construction companies in Nobosibirsk.

News.com.au cites report that "Nikita was holding 'a kind of grenade or a piece of TNT.'" The explosion shattered all windows of the car except for the front windshield.

However, there were also rumors that the target of the bomb was Nikita, although Anatoly Lokot, mayor of the Russian city, brushed aside suggestions of terrorism being behind the death of the two.
