You have got to try Xiaomi Mi Pad 2, which was initially released last Tuesday as it brings a lot of similarities to Apple's iPad Mini at a first glance.
Once a user take a look at the 7.9-inches display with 2048x1536 resolution at 326 PPI, they can barely tell the difference between Apple's latest iPad Mini tablets, which was first released in November 2013.

However, digging deeper, according to ZDNet, users can witness two differences - the new Xiaomi tablet operates with Intel Atom chip using a Microsoft Windows 10 or Google Android OS.

It is likely unclear whether the new tablet will use Windows 10 Mobile; however, even if it does use the said OS, it shouldn't pay Microsoft any licensing dues as the OS is absolutely free for smaller devices.

Powering the small tablet is a 2.24 GHz Atom chip paired with 2GB random access memory, The Verge reported. This makes a good selection for tablet users to choose between Google Android and Windows 10 as they both run with Intel.

Choosing the Android version will allow a user to obtain Xiaomi's custom MIUI software connection for the open source edition of Android. It simply means it will have no Google Play apps and services. The interface should work with 64 or 16 GB flash storage.

The Chinese manufacturer proudly says its newest innovation can play videos running 12-hours in one single charge. It is probably due to its battery life of 6190 mAh, with fast charging directly to its USB type-c port.

It has 8-megapixel sensor for its rear camera, and 5-megapixel for the front camera. Its wireless capacities include Bluetooth 4.1 and 802 11a/c Wi-Fi.

The major difference that Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 can provide buyers is the price, which is relatively lower than Apple iPad Mini.

Sometime this month, the new Xiaomi tablet offering 16GB storage is priced at $156, while the 64GB model is priced at $197. Only the Android edition can be initially offered this month and those running Windows 10 models should come out by December.
