The voice actress for Babe the pig and Rugrats' Chuckie, Christine Cavanaugh, passed away on December 22 due to undisclosed reasons.

Cavanaugh became the voice of popular cartoon characters in the 90s such as Oblina from "Ahhhhh Real Monsters" and the short but genius Dexter from "Dexter's Laboratory." She also voiced the iconic Babe the charming piglet from the film "Babe" in 1995.

Cavanaugh's obituary, released on Tuesday by Los Angeles Times, wrote that the voice actress brought laughs to "people who are now young adults."

According to Cavanaugh's IMDB profile, she has over 74 credits in both voice acting and acting in movies and TV shows, including "The Powerpuff Girls," "101 Dalmatians: The Series" and some video shorts for "The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald: Scared Silly."

Cavanaugh, who died at 52 years old, was born in Layton Utah on August 16, 1963 and studied at the state university and the University of Hawaii. After which, she broke in the voice acting industry as Gosalyn Mallard in the "Darkwing Duck" animated series from Disney.

The voice actress retired in 2001 to be with her family. Cavanaugh was replaced by Nancy Cartwright in her role as Chuckie Finster in the Rugrats animated series by Nickelodeon. The latter also voices Bart Simpson in the popular "The Simpsons" animated series.

Cavanaugh is survived by her sister Deionn Masock; her children, Madison, Nash and Alec; her brother Kirtis Johnson and her father.

A memorial ceremony for the voice actress will be held on the Antelope Island in Utah.
