"Nothing Compares 2 U" singer Sinead O'Connor recently made headlines after taking to social media after an apparent suicide attempt.

On Nov. 29, Sunday, the Irish singer and songwriter wrote on her Facebook account what seemed to be a suicide note, in which she said she "never wanna see again" Jake Reynolds, her son with John Reynolds, Roisin Waters, her daughter with John Waters), Frank Bonadio, the father of her fourth child Yeshua Bonadio, Donal Lunny, the father of her third son Shane O'Connor, and her sister Eimear O'Connor.

On Nov. 30, Monday, Sinead took to Facebook again to slam her family in a new and lengthy post, which some believe is a cry for help. She wrote, "This week has broken me. The withholding of my babies from me without any sound reason by their fathers, Frank and Donal, and by Jake and the rest of my family, is a horrific set of betrayals."

Sinead added that the last two nights finished her off and she had taken an overdose.  She said there is no other way to get respect and she is not at home but at a hotel somewhere in Ireland "under another name."

This is not the first tile Sinead was reported to have attempted suicide. In 2007, she told Oprah Winfrey that she has bipolar disorder and she tried to commit suicide on her 33rd birthday.

In a statement obtained by New York Daily News, Garra Lloyd-Lester of the Suicide Prevention Center of New York State pointed out that most people struggling with thoughts of suicide can "talk themselves out of the immediate crisis" if given time.

Citing privacy policy, a sergeant for the police force of Ireland told Fox News they could not provide further information on Sinead's condition.
