Reeling squad Villarreal CF (6-4-3, 21 points) will try to get out of its current funk as it hosts Rayo Vallecano (4-7-2, 14 points) at the Estadio El Madrigal on Sunday, December 6 in a 2015-2016 La Liga season matchup.

Villarreal, who had only won once in their last six outings, is currently on a three-game winless slide, with their last match a humiliating 0-2 defeat in the hands of lowly team Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Sunday, as per the Washington Times.

Marcelino's boys looked uninspired during the whole match as they surrendered two goals at the 21st and 51st minutes.

El Submarino Amarillo dropped to the sixth spot in the league table without a win to show in their last three games.

Meanwhile, Rayo Vallecano was trounced by Athletic Bilbao, 0-3, at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas also on Sunday, as reported by SkySports.

Los Leones striker Aritz Aduriz scored a hat trick at the first, 24th, and 60 minutes before they were a man down four minutes later when defender Aymeric Laporte was sent off with a red card.

With the loss, Los Franjirrojos extended its winless skid to two games as Paco Jémez's squad settled for 14th place in the current league table.

The predicted result is a tough 1-0 decision for Villarreal. The Yellow Submarine will finally bounce back with a win following a winless month in the Spanish top flight.
