20th Century Fox, the producer of the film "The Revenant," denies a viral story that a bear raped actor Leonardo DiCaprio twice in the film. The bear attack is part of the trailer for the movie scheduled to be shown on a limited release on Christmas Day and then would have an expanded nationwide showing on Jan. 8.

Rumors of DiCaprio being raped twice by the bear, in the film directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, was fueled by a Dredge Report which released spoilers that claims "The bear flips Leo and thrusts and thrusts during the explicit mauling," quotes Decider.

The spoiler adds that the actor also ripped open a horse and sleeps on its carcass naked. The report says that during the early screening, "Some in the audience escaped to the exits when the Wolf of Wall Street met the Grizzly of Yellowstone."

However, a Fox spokesman stresses, "There is clearly no rape scene with a bear," quote Entertainment Weekly. The spokesman explains that the bear in the movie is a female that attacks the character played by DiCaprio because she feels he is a threat to her cubs.

Hugh Glass, the character, is a frontiersman who confronts the wild animal and her cubs while out in the woods. The attack scene is found at the 53-second mark in the trailer.

Film fans are anticipating that DiCaprio would likely receive an Oscar best actor award for the film.

On the same day that the rape speculation spread, Judy, the bear, was nominated for Outstanding Achievement, Character Animation in a Live Action Production. Judy's competition for the award are Azog and Smaug from "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," the Hulk from "Avengers, Age of Ultron" and Indominus Rex from "Jurassic World."
