With "Game Of Thrones" season 6 set to premiere sometime in April 2016, the fans of the George R.R. Martin's novels are seemingly getting restless and keeping a close watch on the author to try to guess when the highly-anticipated novel, "The Winds Of Winter," is releasing.

A new rumor has emerged, according to which Martin has finally finished writing "Winds of Winter," the sixth instalment to the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. It was deduced from the author's personal blog where he has promoted his cameo appearance in an episode of Syfy's "Z Nation," in which was shown autographing copies of a book titled "A Promise of Spring" and bragging that has hundreds of copies of the new book and will get rich selling them on eBay.

Apparently, fans of the series jumped to the conclusion that through his blog, Martin is subtly trying to hint that he has finished writing "The Winds of Winter" and will release it soon, ostensibly in the spring.

It was reported earlier that the 67-year-old author admitted during a talk at Northwestern University earlier this month that despite his slow speed, he did not expect that the HBO show would be able to catch up to him so soon as he had such a huge lead.

Martin had released his first instalment of "A Song of Ice and Fire" series "Game Of Thrones" in 1996 while the show debuted in April 2011. Martin's last book "Dance Of Dragons" came in 2011.

Back in April, Martin had told Entertainment Weekly that he is committed to wrapping up the novel ahead of the Season 6 debut of the "Game of Thrones" TV series.
