Struggling team Carpi FC (2-9-3, 9 points) is scheduled to take on hard-fighting AC Milan (7-5-2, 23 points) at the Stadio Alberto Braglia in Modena on Sunday as the 2015-2016 Serie A season moves forward.

Carpi recently took a break from its seven-game winless slide by upsetting lowly club Genoa, 2-1, at the latter's home field of Stadio Luigi Ferraris last Sunday, via Sports Mole.

An early red card at the 6th minute given to Il Grifone forward Leonardo Pavoletti gave Fabrizio Castori's men the early one-man advantage.

Even when Genoa defender Diogo Figueiras scored the opening goal two minutes later, Carpi made the most of their advantage by scoring two goals in the second half, courtesy of striker Marco Borriello and defender Cristian Zaccardo at the 57th and 80th minutes on the way to the come-from-behind win.

Meanwhile, AC Milan pulverized Sampdoria, 4-1, at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza last Saturday, as per SkySports.

French forward M'Baye Niang had a brace at the 38th and 49th minutes while midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura and striker Luiz Adriano contributed a goal each at the 16th and 79th minutes respectively en route to the lopsided victory.

Sampdoria forward Eder netted a consolation goal with a penalty kick at the 87th to put I Blucerchiati on the board.

The predicted result is a 3-1 victory for AC Milan. I Rossoneri starts a new winning run against Carpi this week.
