With J.J. Abrams' space sci-fi film "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" coming to theaters soon, Disney added EXO member Lu Han to raise awareness for the film in China.

Han is the perfect person to promote "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" in China in two reasons, according to Deadline.

The first reason is that the country's moviegoers are progressively the younger population, who could relate well to the 25-year-old former member of the boy band. Han has also got an international fan base and almost 12 million followers on the microblogging website Weibo, not to mention that he has a Guinness record for the most comments on a single post.

In line with the "Star Wars" promotion, Han will also reportedly dedicate a remix of his new song "The Inner Force" and its music video to the film's publicity campaign. According to Han, it was an honor to become the China ambassador of "Star Wars," may the force be with you.

In the past, Han also starred in Korean film remakes "20 Once Again" and "The Witness," which were both box office hits. Aside from "Star Wars," Han is also linked with Alessandro Carloni and Jennifer Yuh's animated film "Kung Fu Panda 3." On Dec. 2, the EXO star released a music video for the Mandarin and English song "Deep," which promotes the DreamWorks animated feature.

Han's appeal has gone global, as he is also set to appear in "The Great Wall" together with "Bourne" star Matt Damon, according to Cinema Blend.

Set 30 years after the events in the "Return of Jedi," Abram's "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" stars an ensemble of both old and new heroes and villains played by Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Max von Sydow, Simon Pegg, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill, among others.

Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is slated to premiere in theaters on Dec. 18 while "Kung Fu Panda 3" hits theaters on Jan. 29, 2016.
