New details for the "Spider-Man 2017" reboot will feature Shocker as the new villain, as well as Spider-Man's role in in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" next year.

It seems that another villain form Spider-Man's rogues gallery is being push to debut in the "Spider-Man 2017" reboot for the Marvel Cinematic Universe as writer PredatorRIsing stated that the new villain should be Herman Shultz/Shocker instead of Kraven the Hunter.

PredatorRIsing explained that the reason for Shocker being introduced in the "Spider-Man 2017" due to the character's popularity within the comics. The writer added that director John Watts should introduce Shocker first in the film as start up adversary to Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and not Kraven, citing that he and the "Kraven Last Hunt" storyline should be saved for future projects or sequels for Spider-Man, ComicBookMovie reported.

There are also other villains being considered in the "Spider-Man 2017" film aside from Shocker and Kraven the Hunter such as Scorpion, Chameleon, Vulture, Mysterio and Morlun.

Aside from the rumored new Spider-Man villain, Robert Downey Jr. teased that Spider-Man will appear in fight scene during the "Captain America: Civil War" film. "The Avengers" star along with cast member Don Cheadle were in the set and they were impress on how Marvel was able to acquire several heroes in one film such as Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Spider-Man, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The scene will depict both Iron Man (Downey Jr.) and Captain America's (Chris Evans) team will go up against each other in the airport battle and that someone is dressed in a full Spider-Man was included in that particular scene.

It is rumored that Spider-Man will be likely join Iron Man's team first and would probably switch sides to Captain America during the course of "Civil War" similar to the comics. Holland stated in an interview that the "Ultimate Spider-Man" comics were his favorite version of the web-slinger as it appeals more in younger audiences since this version is still in high school struggling with both school work and being a hero.

"Civil War" directors Anthony and Joe Russo also commented on Holland's dedication to the role citing his impressive acrobatic skills as Holland is also a dancer an gymnast.

Downey Jr. teased that both Iron Man and Captain America could have a cameo the "Spider-Man 2017" although Evans' quickly divulge the latter during their guesting at Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Spider-Man will appear first in "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6, 2016 and his new solo film on July 28, 2017.
