"The Blacklist" season 3 is currently on a mid-season break and is set to return on Jan. 7, 2016. One of the questions left unanswered is whether or not the tryst of Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and Samar Navabi (Mozhan Marno) is something temporary.
"That hasn't quite played out yet," "The Blacklist" executive producer Jon Bokenkamp told Entertainment Weekly about the implication of Donald Ressler and Samar Navabi's tryst. He explained that the tryst being a one-time thing is not quite as simple as that.
"That is something that's going to linger over them and haunt them," Bokenkamp added. "The fallout from that will continue to ripple for a while."
Meanwhile, Bokenkamp confirmed that "The Blacklist" season 4 is happening on a podcast for the series titled "The Blacklist: Exposed," which is available on Golden Spiral Media. He said, "It's one of those things that's hard to keep quiet. But yes, we're renewed through the fourth season."
A production of Sony Pictures Television and Davis Entertainment, "The Blacklist" stars James Spader, Ryan Eggold, Diego Klattenhoff and Harry Lennix, among others. Along with Bokenkamp, the NBC series is executive produced by Michael Watkins, John Eisendrath, John Fox and John Davis.
It has been confirmed as well that "Monk" star Tony Shalhoub will play guest role on an upcoming "The Blacklist" episode. He will play a master negotiator for the criminal underworld named Alistair Tate in the NBC series. The character's mission is to have his targets accept his business proposals and in order to manipulate them into doing so, he will use his quick wit and dramatic flair.
