Now that HBO has released the first poster for "Game Of Thrones" season 6, it is only a matter of time before the much-talked about curly-haired commander of the TV series, Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), returns to the screens.

Snow was last shown lying in  a pool of blood after being stabbed by his fellow night's watchmen. The show runners tried hard to convince that the beloved bastard is definitely "deader than dead," several aspects pointed out to the speculation that Harrington will reprise his role once again in the upcoming season.

Although the network is yet to confirm Snow's return, his bloodied face on the poster of the show does indicate that he is set to play an important role in the sixth season. Here are some factors which tend to confirm Snow's return in "Game Of Thrones" season 6.

1.    Parentage of Jon Snow is still a mystery.

Although Ned Stark (Sean Bean) introduced Snow as his bastard son from the North, it was always subtly hinted that the truth is something else. Several "Game Of Thrones" season 6 spoiler have indicated that the Commander of the Night's Watch is actually the son of Ned's sister who was raped by Targaryen prince. The upcoming season is likely to show flashback scenes in which young Ned will promise his dying sister that he will always protect the true identity of her son.

2.    Jon Snow has to reunite with Stark kids.

Snow's inclusion in the upcoming season seems to be mandatory as he needs to reunite with Sansa (Sophie Turner) for whom he will fight in "The Battle Of Bastards" to take revenge from her brutal husband Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon).

3.    Red Priestess returned to the Wall at the time of Jon Snow's apparent death.

Melisandre is known to possess mystical powers which she uses to resurrect dead people. Her mere presence in the Wall at the time of attack on Snow made the fans believe that she will not only resurrect him but will also give him special powers. It is also speculated that Red Priestess strongly believes that Snow is harboring the spirit of Azor Ahai and will do everything to resurrect him so that he can return to save the world from White Walkers, Wetpaint reported.

4.    Jon Snow will emerge as the rightful heir to iron throne.

Due to the speculation surrounding his parentage, it is highly speculated that Snow also stands a chance to fight for the iron throne.

5.    Jon Snow has the qualities of a warg.

It is often depicted in George R. R. Martin's "A Song Of Fire And Ice" books that Snow has the qualities of a warg that means he along with his direwolf, Ghost, can enter and control the minds of other mammals, just like his half-brother Bran Stark, Elite Daily reported. Since the HBO's hit series is yet to explore this aspect of the beloved character, it is highy speculated that Snow will remain alive since his character has much more in store when "Game Of Thrones" premiere in April 2016.
