New "Arrow" season 4 details will feature Nyssa Al' Ghul as the possible leader of the League of Assassins and new clues on the possible major character's death in the show.
It was during the end of the "Arrow" season 4 midseason finale that audiences saw Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) got shot in an ambushed by The Ghost after Oliver Queen (Amell) proposed to her n front of everyone in Star City during another Mayoral speech.
This led to the fans speculating that Felicity could be the major character dying in season 4 as several hints from the Episode 10 trailer, "Blood Debts" reveal Felicity fighting for her life as the Oliver grieves over a tombstone of some he knows, stating that it is not his fault, but it is his responsibility to keep everyone safe, promising to kill Damien Darhk (Neil McDonough) for what he did.
However, Amell explained during the Heroes & Villain Fan Fest event that he does not know who is in the grave as the "Arrow" is either teasing the fans in attendance or he just not want to spill the secret at all, Melty reported.
Aside from Felicity Smoak, other major characters were also teased to die in Season 4 as John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Captain Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) are the more plausible deaths and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) being the unexpected person since the New Zealand trailer saw him being choked by Damien Darhk in the midseason finale.
Executive Producer Wendy Mericle stated that they have big plans for both Oliver and Felicity in the show as season 4 will explore the ups and downs of their relationship and adding the fact that Oliver had a son and has told Felicity about it could make their relationship more complicated than they have realized.
In othe news, "Spartacus" star Katrina Law teased that Nysaa Al' Ghul in the show could possibly take over the League of Assassins after Malcolm Merlyn.
Law told Fashion&Style that Nyssa in season 4 will come into good terms with Sara Lance's (Caity Lotz) resurection and restoration of her soul as she felt that the Sara she knew and fell in love with no longer existed. Law added that Nyssa in show will still continue to fight Malcolm for the position as leader of the League of Shadows given that it is her birth right and will fight through the bitter if she has to.
Malcolm Merlyn is the current leader of the League of Assassins after Oliver defeated Ra's Al Ghul (Matthew Nable) in season 3 and gave his ring to Malcolm in exchange for his assistance in Oliver's war with the League. Unfortunately, Nyssa does not want Malcolm to lead as he is responsible for Sara's death that led to the war and has developed a grudging respect and rivalry with the latter.
Season 4 could probably see Nyssa ascend to the status as the new "Ra's Al Ghul" and put her rightful place in the League in the second haft of the show.
"Arrow" season 4 returns on Jan. 20 on the CW Network.
