The midseason finale Episode 9 ended with a huge cliffhanger. The Salvatore brothers-Damon and Stefan-were stabbed with a Phoenix stone dagger by Julian leaving them dead.

However, a promo video for "The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) Season 7 midseason premiere (Episode 10) teases the resurrection of Damon but, it may not be good news for everyone. It seems the show picks up three months after the events of the midseason finale as Bonnie brings Damon back to life and tells him that he has been dead for "past three months."

As for Stefan, Bonnie may not be able to bring Stefan back as his body is still in Julian's custody and he wants to destroy it. "If Julian scorches Stefan's body we can't get him back!" Caroline yells. However, Stefan soon enters the scene when Damon loses control and attacks Caroline and her babies. What kind of impact the has Phoenix Stone on the brothers? Things are bound to change the Salvatore brothers forever.

In an interview with TV Line, "The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) executive producer Caroline Dries talked about the Season 7 Episode 10. According to Dries, the show returns with a "really cool concept episode." It is said that the winter premiere will expand more on consequences of the midseason finale.
"We'll be dealing with the fallout from the winter finale for a while, both emotionally and plot-wise," Dries said. "The babies inside Caroline will have to come out sooner or later," she added. Meanwhile, fans can expect to meet the new villain, Rayna-the vampire slayer in the second half of "The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) Season 7.

Additionally, Ian Somerhalder, who plays the role of Damon Salvatore, confirmed Episode 10 to be a "concept episode." "The episode was really about Damon, but that's not why I think it was the best at all. The way the story was put together ... every artisan from set to producers to wardrobe to everyone was just so on-point," Somerhalder said in an interview with Variety.

The official synopsis for Episode 10 "Hell is the Other People" is yet to be revealed. However, the network has already released the promo. Scroll down to watch the video.
