In Episode 10, James Aubrey and Dr. Jack Hodgins were injured badly. The injuries left Hodgins paralyzed for the rest of his life.

According to the plot rumours for "Bones" Season 11 Episode 11, the show will see the beginning of a new phase in Hodgins and Angela's relationship after the accident that will transform their life as a couple and individuals. Meanwhile, the showrunner John Collier confirmed in the interview with TV Line that the twist in their storyline is not only about Hodgins but about both "Hodgins and Angela as a couple."

It is said that the two will have to go through some tests in their relationship as they adapt to the change. "We really want to test their relationship, and we figured this would be a good way to do it. It's going to get really difficult for them," Collier said.

Fans have been wondering if Hodgins will ever be able to walk again. According to the executive producer, "there's a good chance he will never walk again."

As for Booth and Brennan, an outside element is going to put the couple "under duress." According to the EP, an "external force" is going to threaten their relationship and test them as a couple.
