During the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night, it was announced that Miss India Urvashi Rautela has the most Instagram followers. After the coronation night, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez have more Instagram followers than the Indian beauty queen.
Currently, Rautela has almost 370,000 followers on Instagram while Miss Universe 2015 second runner-up Olivia Jordan of the United States only has more than 200,000 followers.
On the other hand, it appears that Wurtzbach and Gutierrez are in a tight competition not only in the Miss Universe 2015 beauty pageant. The two beauty queens have 1.1 million followers on Instagram six days after the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night.
Many Filipino fans criticized Gutierrez for posting an Instagram photo, which seems to imply that she believes she is the rightful owner of the Miss Universe 2015 crown. While their fans are fighting online, Wurtzbach and Gutierrez appear to be in good terms as they exchanged good messages on Instagram.
After the Miss Universe 2015 mishap involving Steve Harvey's wrong announcement, Wurtzbach was worried about Gutierrez. The Filipino beauty queen told Entertainment Tonight, "I was actually very close to her already, but I decided that maybe it was bad timing to do it now to apologize to her for what happened, so maybe I'll do that in the future."
Meanwhile, Miss Universe 2015 judge Perez Hilton commented on Harvey's mess-up. The celebrity blogger told Us Weekly that at first, he thought it was not the "Family Feud" host's fault but he eventually changed his mind. He said, "But in the subsequent days, it seems to be his fault."
