"Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara's lookalike Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez was born on Christmas Day in Sincelejo, Colombia, and she is the youngest of five children. The Miss Universe 2015 first runner-up just turned 22 on Dec. 25, Friday.
Aside from Spanish, Gutierrez also speaks German and English. She was only seven months old when her parents moved to Vergara's hometown Barranquilla, where she eventually studied at the German School of Barranquilla. The Colombian beauty queen loves cats and dogs and she would have loved to meet the late Princess Diana, who is one of her idols.
Aside from being Miss Universe 2015 first runner-up, Gutierrez is known for being the first woman to wear the Miss Universe crown before it was handed to the rightful owner. After Steve Harvey's wrong announcement, Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega, also from Colombia and Gutierrez's cousin, had to transfer the crown from Miss Colombia to Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Wurtzbach said she did not feel sure about her win after being crowned the new Miss Universe. She had to ask her manager many times to make sure she is the real winner.
Miss Universe 2015 judge Perez Hilton also shared his initial reaction to Harvey's wrong announcement of winner. The celebrity blogger told Us Weekly that he initially thought it was rigged because like him, all the three other judges voted for Miss Philippines to win.
"And then I started to really do the math and that was four," Hilton added. "So how is this possible?"
