President Xi Jinping has ordered all departments of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to support judges and prosecutors in exercising their duties unrestrictedly and without interference.

They should enable law enforcement agencies and judicial departments to work independently in line with the Constitution, laws and "create a favorable environment" for them to do so, he said in a released statement.

The Chinese president also added that officials of the law enforcement committees and judicial departments should give their utmost loyalty to the Party, to the people of China and to the State.

The president gave emphasis on supervision and management of law enforcement personnel and gave them an order to strictly follow the Party discipline, and to not use and abuse their police power to serve personal interests instead of the people.

In the same statement, the president pointed out that the various committees of the Party should strive to improve their command in regard to judicial affairs, choosing only qualified and competitive officials to take the lead, increasing their political awareness and ensuring their integrity.

Meng Jianzhu, head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, conveyed Xi's instructions to the meeting.

On the other hand, Party officials said that they will do their best to be more proactive and effective law-abiding personnel. They pledged to move forward the judicial reform, as well as determine and control social risks.

The CPC session in Oct. 2014 outlined the legal reform that pointed out the supreme authority of the Constitution and vowed to make extensive reforms to the judicial system in line with the president's campaign against graft and corruption.

The plan includes making sure that the independence of courts and prosecutors, and rules to control intervention, would be protected in court cases by senior officials.
