The warning alert which was raised for the Puna lava flow in Hawaii has been dropped off and the place is currently out of any potential volcanic eruption dangers. The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory which had initially raised the warning alarm has reportedly taken it down after the lava showed huge signs of descent, as per reports by WFSB.

However that does not mean that the volcanoes are not active in Hawaii. Puu 'O'o vent on Kilauea Volcano's East Rift Zone and in Halemaumau Crater are very active volcanoes and continue to throw out lava, but not to cause any danger currently. It might pose some problems in the future. The upper four miles of these active volcanoes are the only place till where the lava is currently reaching, so it does not pose any harm to the people or the surrounding areas.

The initial threat was made due to the volcanic activities which had taken place on June 27, last year. It was only when the lava started to affect the surrounding area, the scientists at the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory had issued the warning signal for the people to stay away from that area and for those who lived nearby, to evacuate the area, as reported by KPTV.

The scientists say that at the moment, they fear that the volcano might erupt gain and reach the steepest slopes and seep in to the village of Pahoa and the surrounding area.

USGS geologists have confirmed that they will continue to monitor all the active volcanoes in the area very closely and they will also be working closely with the Hawaii County Civil Defense. They will continue to send updates on a daily basis, so that the people are aware of the situation of the volcanoes.
