PSY 'All Night Stand 2015'

In 2013, South Korean artist PSY made Internet history by being the first singer whose video “Gangnam Style,” breached the 1 billion mark before the year ended and now at 2.5 billion hits. In 2016, PSY would once again break records by being the first foreign artist to perform in three different shows in China for the Spring Festival.

PSY is set to appear on Dragon TV, Liaoning TV and Jiangsu TV, reported China Entertainment News. Chinese viewers will see him perform his monster hit, "Gangnam Style" and new song “DADDY” on Liaoning TV on Feb. 6. Besides the South Korean singer, other performers in the Chinese Lunar New Year show include Lang Lang, the Chinese pianist who performed with PSY at the opening of the 2014 Asian Games in South Korea, and famous Chinese singers.

On New Year’s Day, both Jiangsu TV and Dragon TV will air PSY’s performance. On Jiangsu, other performers are Leon Lai and Aaron Kwok. Besides “Gangnam Style,” PSY will also sing “NAPAL BAJI.” He will repeat “DADDY” and perform ‘DANCE JOKEY” on Dragon TV.

With these three TV stations broadcasting to all areas in China, it guarantees billions of viewers would see PSY perform which could translate into more hits of his songs on video sharing sites, especially for ‘DADDY” which has already been viewed 100 million times.

Jiangsu TV has a reach of 1.1 billion viewers, while Dragon TV and Liaoning TV have a combined viewership of 900 million.

However, PSY’s record may be threatened by returning British singer Adele whose monster hit song "Hello," which has broken several records, has beaten the South Korean sensation in the time it took to breach the 1 billionth mark. TechTimes reported that it took the “Someone Like You” singer half the time it took PSY to achieve 1 billion views. Adele took only 87 days to reach what took PSY 158 days.
