According to latest reports, the electronics manufacturer Samsung has begun rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 in Poland and South Korea. Reports suggest that the latest update will roll out to other devices soon.

Samsung has skipped Android 6.0 Marshmallow and opted for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. It is not known whether the company will roll out Android 6.0 M or Android 6.0.1 M to other devices.

According to a SamMobile report, the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 devices have got the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update in Poland. Also, these devices had got the Marshmallow update in South Korea.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update schedule for Samsung devices has not been announced by the South Korean giant. However, according to some reports, the update can arrive any time now that some devices have got it.

Several reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will get the Android M update in February. Samsung Galaxy A8 will get the update in March, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Samsung Galaxy S5 will receive the update in April.

Some of the other Samsung devices that will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update are Galaxy Tab S2, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy J2, Galaxy J5, Galaxy J7, Galaxy E5, Galaxy E7, Galaxy A7, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy A3, Galaxy S5 Neo, Galaxy S6 Duos and Galaxy Note 5. Owners should wait for the notification that the Marshmallow update is available.

Some of the features of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow include a new Tasks Edge panel, new interface for the Edge screen settings and new set of emoji characters.

Meanwhile, the software company Motorola has rolled out Android 6.0 M update for Moto G (second generation). The device, which was released in September 2014, had got the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in January 2015.

Some of the features of the smartphone include 2,070mAh battery, a 5-inch HD screen, 8MP rear camera, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, front-facing speakers and 1GB RAM, Digital Trends reported.
