Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling will reveal her surprise to Potterheads at the Shanghai Film Festival.

"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling is frustrated because Potter fans are bombarding her Twitter account with questions about the recently announced epilogue of the book "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child."

Book publishers Little, Brown and Company recently announced the publication of the script for the theatrical play of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." This is the continuation of the seven book series, which concluded long ago.

When Little, Brown and Company released the news about "The Cursed Child", the Internet went completely wild with the news. Soon Rowling started to get a thousand queries about this book on various social media platforms.

However, she soon told the fans that she is not the writer of this book/epilogue. In her response via her Twitter handle, she clearly stated that only the script of "The Cursed Child" is being published, which is neither a novel nor a prequel. This clearly means that two parts of the book will be released. However, they will not have any sequential relation to the original "Harry Potter" series.

Fans who were expecting another novel from JK Rowling may be disappointed. However, this upcoming longform prose will include scripts and screenplays instead of stories, making them all the more interesting. According to the original author of the series, the new work will be equipped with things common with the format of Shakespeare's works, according to Telegraph.

Rowling also clarified that she is just serving as a consultant for the complete work, according to Wired. It is reported that the story of the upcoming work is based on something written by Rowling, but English playwright Jack Thorne is the main author of the work.

Rowling also made it clear that she should not be approached with questions regarding this epilogue from now on.

The play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" will release on July, 30 at the West End. The script of the play will be released in a two-part book on July 31.
