The NBA trade deadline is nearing and rumor mills are churning hot with reports coming from various sources. It is likely that some of the big names in the industry will move. Lance Stephenson may be moved from Los Angeles Clippers and they plan to take in Channing Frye.
"The Los Angeles Clippers are nearing agreement on a deal to acquire Orlando's Channing Frye, league sources tell @TheVertical," Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical tweeted.
In another tweet, he mentioned that apart from Clippers, many more teams are eyeing Frye and one of them is Cleveland Cavaliers.
According to CBS Sports, the potential deals for Clippers are C.J. Wilcox and Stephenson. But, it is possible that they plan to send Stephenson. Clippers are expected to make the decision on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Detroit Pistons are still looking for a guard, Wojnarowski stated. They acquired Tobias Harris, but they still want a veteran guard.
On the other hand, Orlando Magic have been doing a lot of activities before deadline. They have traded Tobias Harris with Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova. Moreover, Magic can also send off Victor Oladipo and Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins stated that he would be shocked to see that.
Elsewhere, rumors around Michael Carter-Williams move from Milwaukee Bucks have been put down as Yahoo's Marc Spears reveal that Bucks informed Carter-Williams that he would not be moved at the deadline.
Charlotte Hornets welcome Courtney Lee and it was three-team deal, noted Ken Berger of CBS Sports. Courtney Lee was sent from Memphis Grizzlies to Charlotte Hornets and Brian Roberts moves from Charlotte to Miami Heats. Meanwhile, Chris Anderson makes a move from Miami to Memphis while P. J. Hairston goes to Grizzlies from Charlotte.
Blake Griffin may be moved from Los Angeles Clippers in the summer. Zach Lowe of ESPN stated that Clipper might keep Griffin for the complete season and will attempt to move in the summer. However, if they can have Kevin Durant, the Clippers might move Griffin sooner.
However, according to head coach Doc River, Griffin will not be moved. "I've told you we're not trading Blake," River stated. "I guess everyone else wants to keep (saying) that, so we'll let them do it. Not from us at all."
According to ESPN, the Toronto Raptors are looking at getting a power forward and sources revealed that they can Thaddeus Young of Brooklyn, Kenneth Faried of Denver, P.J. Tucker and Markieff Morris of Phoenix and Ryan Anderson of New Orleans.
