A source told Us Weekly that Higgins admits being in love with the two finalists and tell "I Love You" to both before the final rose ceremony. During the finale, the bachelor is expected to pick one winner and declare his love for her.
However, first time in the history of "The Bachelor," the rejected bachelorette will find herself "blindsided" in the end. "The finale is brutal," the source reveals.
Revealing the details, the source said that Higgins expressed his love for the two contestants during the fantasy suite dates in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Here, the bachelor reportedly said "I Love You" to two out of three finalists. In an attempt to avoid spoiling things for fans, the publication has not specified the names of the bachelorettes in question.
Higgin's confession of love to the two finalists during the finale is said to be the result of a "spur of the moment" decision. "Ben was just following his heart," creator Mike Fleiss told the magazine recently, "but it caused considerable drama."
Later, however, Higgins realised the magnitude of the damage his act could cause and regretted his impulsive decision making. "He realized the inevitability of what was going to happen: needing to send one home in the end," the source revealed.
As for the runner-up, she was reportedly "devastated" after she was dumped by Higgins during the final rose ceremony at "The Bachelor" Season 20 (2016) finale. Things are expected to get really intense and dramatic at the end with "lots of tears" and emotional moments.
"The Bachelor" blogger Reality Steve suggest that Caila Quinn, JoJo Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell will make it to the fantasy suite date in Jamaica. However, Higgins will eliminate Quinn and take Bushnell and Fletcher to the finale.
Recently, a clip from "The Bachelor Live" was released wherein Higgins confessed falling in love with two bachelorettes. In one shot, the 26-year-old software sales rep can be seen talking to his parents, explaining his predicament. In the second shot, teary-eyed Higgins admits that it was the biggest mistake he made.
"The Bachelor" Season 20 finale airs March 14 on ABC. Stay tuned for more spoilers and updates on the final rose ceremony.
