Tekken 7 is a fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment as the ninth instalment in the Tekken series.

New "Tekken 7" details will feature an online matchmaking for the consoles, more guest characters and an arcade launch date for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution".

It seems that Bandai Namco's updated "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will have an arcade release date in Japan set on July as the Japanese arcade game company AM-Net posted a schedule in their official website and arcade owners will have until March 18 to set their orders for new machines in arcade stores within the country.

"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will feature new arenas, updated alternate character outfits and two new playable characters, Nina Williams and Akuma from Capcom's "Street Fighter" game franchise. The updated version will also feature improvements on the "Rage System" as each character will perform certain rage attacks and rage arts, with the exception of Akuma as he possesses the EX Gauge from the "Street Fighter" games.

Bandai Namco recentlyu conducted arcade test for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" several weeks back as they are now gathering more data and feedbacks in order to put it in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Game Designer Michael Murray admitted that Bandai Namco has not yet started working on "Tekken 7" for the console versions, but assured gaming fans that they will start developing the console versions after the arcade tests.

In other news, Bandai Namco will likely add more guest characters in "Tekken 7" aside from Akuma as Murray and Visual Design Manager Kousuke Waki explained that Akuma will have purpose within the sequel and not a "cheesy gimmick", PlayStationLifeStyle reported.

Both Murray and Game creator Katsuhiro Harada originally did not want to have guest characters in "Tekken 7" as they felt that it would mess with game's settings and overall storyline. Akuma's inclusion in the game has been planned out as he is connected to the game's final boss, Kazumi Mishima in the "Fated Retribution" update.

So far, Akuma is the only guest character in "Tekken 7" as Bandai Namco has no plans for adding other game characters, but they are still open minded with the idea in the future. Bandai Namco added that "Tekken 7" will have an updated online matchmaking feature which allow players to fight other players around the globe.

The sequel will feature returning characters such as Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Asuka, Lili, Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, King, Yoshimitsu, Bryan Fury, Feng Wei, Dragunov, Leo, Lars, Alisa and Nina. New faces are also present in the game such as Lucky Chloe, Katarina Alves, Claudio Serafino, Jose Rizal, Shaheen, Gigas, Jack-7, Akuma and Kazumi Mishima.

Harada teased that "Tekken 7" will likely have a PC version, as well as other fighters like Panda, Roger, Alex, Roger Jr., Jun Kazama, Angel, Kunimitsu, Eliza, Kuma and Anna Williams.

"Tekken 7" is speculated to launch on late 2016 for the PS4 and Xbox One
