Rumors are spreading like wildfire that The Pokémon Company has a change of heart and will not go ahead with its Pokémon Z release date plans. Instead, the game creator will provide new game titles known for now as Pokémon Rainbow, Sun and Moon.
And if Pokémon Rainbow indeed will unpack soon, which according to speculations will be discussed in detail via the Pokémon Direct broadcast scheduled on February 26, Neurogadget is expecting that the gameplay will be the same with that of the Z. The elements would likely still focused on the main characters earlier leaked - Zygarde, Volcanion, Magiana and other Mons that will crossover from the Pokémon X and Y series.
The same report noted too that Rainbow is also known as Pokémon Niji, which roughly translates to Rainbow. The name-change, however, from Z was not accompanied by explanation from Game Freak, which is co-developing the latest in the Pokémon series.
And the same goes for the leaked Pokémon Sun and Moon that if a Twitter post and trademark filings are to be believed will soon hit the market as the new game titles for the Nintendo 3DS handheld. The Sun and Moon rising soon for 3DS fans was reportedly confirmed by Nintendo of America, which indeed should give credence to the information.
However, a little scrutiny coming from Heavy.com revealed two things - the supposed tweet from Nintendo of America actually came from a parody account that goes by the Twitter handle 'Ninlendo of America'. This account has been suspended, the report said.
As for the Sun and Moon trademark filings, Heavy.com confirmed that they exist and, in fact, can be searched online. But the blog site also made clear that Pokémon Sun and Moon are likely to launch any time soon as the trademark applications are yet to be approved by European authorities.
In the end, everything about the Pokémon Z, or for that matter the Pokémon Rainbow, Sun and Air are still up in the air. And the only confirmation or updates that will be believable should come from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company.
Thankfully, such will be provided real soon as the Pokémon Direct airing should begin in the next few hours that fans hope will provide concrete details on the Pokémon Z release date, perhaps even for the Pokémon GO.
