Triple J banned Taylor Swift from its Hottest 100 poll, while Chet Faker wins the top spot.

The Australian radio station accused Buzz Feed of campaigning Swift's "Shake It Off" song in the poll. The singer songwriter was banned as a result of the social media campaign #Tay4Hottest100 and KFC's promotion of Swift for the poll, according to ABC News.

Triple J told ABC that even with the fast-food chain's and BuzzFeed's campaign, the votes for Swift only put her on the 12th place.

The radio station said that it was not "legit" for others to "troll the poll." Triple J published an article mimicking BuzzFeed's format, while also sarcastically listing 8 reasons why the 25-year-old pop singer did not make the cut.

The article said that if the campaigns were successful, it would have a negative impact on the radio station's poll. Triple J did clarify that it does not have "beef" with Swift.

KFC also ran a promotion to get the "Blank Space" signer on the top spot, offering a $19.89 voucher for poll voters.

In addition, Australian betting website Sportsbet issued over $10,000 worth of refunds after Swift's disqualification.

Meanwhile, Chet Faker, an independent musician from Melbourne, won the top spot for Triple J's Hottest 100 for 2014 with his song "Talk is Cheap." Moreover, he also secured two more spots in the seventh and eight position in the poll's top ten, according to Daily Mail.

Faker was followed by Peking Duk with "High," Hilltop Hoods with "Cosby Sweater," Milky Chance with "Stolen Dance" and another Peking Duk hit "Take Me Over" on the 5th spot.
