Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik has reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from the Chinese Super League as he is keen on persisting with his dream of winning the Serie A title with his current squad before considering any proposals, his agent claims.

The 28-year-old Slovak's agent, Juraj Venglos, confirmed the interest from Chinese clubs but said that his client is not considering that move at this point of his career.

"I can confirm we received massive offers from China for Marek, but we didn't even take them into consideration," Venglos said during a local radio interview, as reported by Goal. "Hamsik is very famous in the Chinese market and it's only normal their clubs offer a great deal to convince him into a transfer."

"However, Hamsik is concentrated on Napoli and wants to win the Scudetto with their jersey," he added.

Gli Azzurri is currently at the second spot of the 2015-2016 Serie A season table, only a point behind league leaders and defending champions Juventus FC. Maurizio Sarri's boys are playing well as of late and they clearly have a chance to unseat four-straight season title holders Juventus if they continue to play in top form.

SB Nation noted that "it's not surprising that Chinese teams would want Hamsik" because the 6-foot Banská Bystrica, Czechoslovakia native is one of the best in the continent "at his position and role" and is still at his prime.

Hamsik's talent, skills, and charisma would really make him an instant hit in the Far East nation's top flight and a crowd-favorite to its fans.

The report further mentioned, though, that all the "acclaim" and "money" that may come with playing in China is not enough for him to leave Naples because of his well-known "heartfelt love for the city".

Hamsik had been with Partenopei since June 2007 and is on his ninth season with the Stadio San Paolo residents. He was acquired from Italian Serie B squad Brescia Calcio for a transfer fee of €5.5 million.

He has now appeared in a total of 389 games for Napoli in all competitions and has scored 97 times during the said time period.
