Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date set October 2016 as Microsoft offers upto $200 discount on its Surface products

Speculations are rife that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 may be packed with a rechargeable stylus battery, charging dock, slimmer design, and a lightweight body.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is rumoured to give the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 a run for its money. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 came with a lot of issues that include blue screens, frequent driver crashing and the frequent failure to launch the docking app.

Based on the current Microsoft Surface Pro reports, the upcoming device will be armed with a rechargeable stylus battery and this could solve one of the biggest problems which users face with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. A charging dock will be given along with the device to make this feature a reality.

Moreover, the device is also said to come with a gigantic battery unit, which will keep the device running for longer hours. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 lasts for seven hours at the max, making the inclusion of a huge battery in the upcoming Surface Pro seem like a great addition.

According to Forbes, Microsoft is thinking about repositioning the fingerprint scanner in the upcoming Surface Pro 5. The tech giant is reported to be placing the finger print sensor on the body of the device; this will mean that the users will no longer need to bring the keyboard out to unlock the device.

The next design tweak, which is reported in the aspect of portability for Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is the trimming down of the weight of the device. It was reported last year that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is a bit bulky, making Microsoft to come up with a slimmer design for its successor device. Potential customers could expect the upcoming device to weigh less than 1.76 pounds.

According to Tech Radar, the trackpad of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 was much lauded and the new device is expected to come with even a better and more precision-oriented design.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to be released in the latter half of 2016, most probably in Oct. The company is currently offering a $100 discount on the current model of Surface Pro, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Sales of the device are far from satisfactory as The President's Day saw the device to be on the sale for a $150 discount.
