Harrison Ford unveils Millennium Falcon at ‘Star Wars’ theme park In Disney

Harrison Ford played the lead role of Indiana Jones in "Indiana Jones" franchise's movies.

Acclaimed actor Harrison Ford, who portrayed the legendary Han Solo in four of the "Star Wars" films, has unveiled a preview of "Star Wars" theme park that is being developed at Disneyland. The theme park is said to be including a virtual ride that will allow the fans to pilot the Millennium Falcon.

In December 2012, Walt Disney Co. announced a deal to acquire Lucas Films for $4.05 billion. After the merger, the two mammoths in the entertainment field will collaborate together to create theme park attractions centered on "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" franchises. The theme parks will be for different Walt Disney Parks and Resorts worldwide.

Reportedly, Disney has revealed the upcoming theme park that will be centered on various "Star Wars" adventures that includes, piloting Millennium Falcon and firing laser canons. According to Fox35 Orlando, Ford and Robot droid BB-8 unveiled the first details of the highly anticipated first look of the upcoming Star Wars Experience during the telecast of ABC's "Disneyland 60" tribute to Walt Disney.

The rides at Millennium Falcon will be the new addition to Disneyland in Anaheim, California and Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. While unveiling the first look, Ford said that he is feeling immensely blessed to present the world an opportunity to visit the iconic locations and "not in a galaxy far, far away, but in a place close to home."

Along with Millennium Falcon, there will be a new Star Tours adventure to Star Wars Launch Bay. It is reported that in the new theme parks, there will be new Jedi Training Academy and Season of Force. New and enhanced Jedi Training will include live-experience fights between the popular characters and a new villain from "Star Wars: Rebel" for the young fans of "Star Wars."

On the other hand, in Season of Force, fans will be able to take part in several events that will begin in few months.Disney CEO Robert Iger revealed to Star Advertiser that each design will be a new experience and price will change as per the demand of the rides for that particular day.

Meanwhile, Ford was last seen in "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens," where he was seen portraying the role of Han Solo for the last time. Soon, Ford will be seen in "Blade Runner" sequel with Ryan Gosling, which is slated to release on Jan 12, 2018.
