Android Marshmallow release news for LG G3, LG G Flex 2, LG V10 and other devices for US carriers

Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A was released in 2014 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and now it is getting Android Marshmallow.

Here is the Android Marshmallow release news for LG G3, LG G Flex 2, LG V10 and other devices for US carriers.

The electronics manufacturer LG said that its devices would be the first to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. The company rolled out the new update to LG G4 owners in Poland.

Reports also suggest that the LG G4 smartphone is covered by most carriers. The LG G4 got the new update on the same date as the LG G3, on Verizon. The LG G4 on T-Mobile got the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on February 6.

Before that, the G4 on US Cellular got the latest Marshmallow update on January 12. Furthermore, the G4 on Sprint received the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on December 18, 2015.

Carriers Rogers and Telus received their Marshmallow update on February 2, 2016. Also, various reports indicate that the G3 (international variant) will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on March 14, 2016. The mobile carrier Verizon has rolled out the Android M update for the device.

Previous reports suggested that the LG G Flex 2 will get the update in March. The LG V10 was supposed to get the update in February. But that didn't happen. At present, there is no information on when LG V10 and LG G4 Stylo will get the update.

Owners of the LG G Flex 2, LG V10, LG G4 Stylo, LG G3 and LG G4 should go to their Settings menu and see if the update is available by clicking System Update.  

Some of the key features of Android 6.0 M include Android Pay, Adoptive Storage, Now on Tap and System UI Tuner, Forbes reported.

Meanwhile, LG G5 smartphone was released in February 2016. The device features a 5.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 pixels x 2560 pixels, according to a report from Digital Trends. The LG device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs a 2800mAh removable battery.

The LG G5 smartphone has 4GB of RAM and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. It has 32GB of internal storage that users can expand via a microSD card slot. Furthermore, the device has a 8 MP front-facing camera and a 16 MP primary camera on the back.

Connectivity options of the LG G5 include 4G, FM, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi.
