Royal Pains is an American television drama series that premiered on the USA Network on June 4, 2009.

"Royal Pains" will be airing its final run in the series' season 8. It will debut on May as confirmed by the cable channel USA.

The "Royal Pains" series' final eight episodes are going to feature a shot in Hongkong in an installment set, including one musical episode. It will also reach its 100-episode mark midway through its run, Deadline reported.

"Royal Pains" lead actor Mark Feuerstein took to Twitter to express his sentiment.

Executive producer Michael Rauch and creator Andrew Lenchewski also said that while they are sad for the show's upcoming end, they are also grateful that they have prepared for their last summer sunsets. In a statement, they wish to extend their gratitude to every member of their studio and network family for the unending support to more than eight magical seasons and for the chance to finish the series under their own terms.

"Royal Pains" Season 7 got an average of 1.45 million viewers and 0.35 same-day rating in ages ranging from 18 to 49, increasing to 3 million in Live + 7 ratings and 0.8 rating, TV By The Numbers reported.

Meanwhile, Feuerstein is said to join "Prison Break" series playing Scott Ness, a powerful man and husband of Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies). While there seems to be no indication yet for the return of Callies, there are however on-going talks, which could mean a possible deal may be done in time. The revival is also reported to last for only nine episodes.

The schedule of the revival is still something not known to many. What is certain is the great chance for the fans of "Prison Break" to get exactly what they asked for. Considering the success made by the "X-Files" reboot, the fans would even be more excited to find out what the show can do this time.

"Royal Pains" is scheduled to come back for its last season on May 18 at 10 p.m. ET. Here is a video for spoilers:
