Burger King New Hampshire

A woman from New Hampshire was surprised when she's decided to drive thru Burger King in Rochester. When Janelle Jones received her Burger King bag, instead of food, she got lots of money.

On Friday, Jones said that when she grabbed the bag and opened it, she was surprised to a bag filled with $2, 631 inside, instead of a spicy chicken junior sandwich and sweet tea, the Associated Press reported.

Jones, in an instant, called her husband and shared with him her shock of seeing that amount of money. Along with her husband, she decided to bring the money back to the fast food chain.

That $2, 631 inside the bag was, actually, for a bank deposit of Burger King, the food chain she ordered food from.

Jone's husband, Matthew, admitted that both of them briefly thought of keeping the money because they are in need of extra cash. However, they brought back the money because it's the right thing to do. The couple are members of the "Jehova's Witness" denomination.

"Returning the money felt better than if we have decided to keep it," Jones said, noting that all employees were grateful to have received the cash back an hour later after driving away from the restaurant.

Jones, further, shared that Burger King offered her five free meals.

The newspaper Foster's Family Democrat, the publication that reported the incident, said that Burger King verifies that the money was returned by the couple; however, the establishment does not want to comment further.
