Sam and Neil from "Married At First Sight" season 3

“Married At First Sight” Season 3 star Sam Role revealed that she is still not giving up on her marriage with Neil Bowlus. The reality star shared that she is still hoping that they will eventually get back together.

In an interview with The Knot, Sam believed that she and Neil can still patch things up. Now that "Married At First Sight" Season 3 is finally over, she felt that they can finally put the past behind and maybe even start a new life together.

With the short amount of time they were given to get to know each other, Sam held that it was just unfair to decide from there if they should stay married or not.

"I feel like once six months is over after the airing, that maybe things will be a little less guarded and maybe [we'll] wanna become a little bit closer," Sam said.

Sam, however, admitted that she is starting to worry that Neil is not feeling the same way. She pointed out that people's opinions of their marriage will definitely affect Neil's decision. While this worries her, Sam said that she will continue to stay with Neil.

"He always said he wanted to be married to his best friend, so the only thing I can hope for is to get close to him," she said.

In the same interview, Neil said that Sam was beating herself up too much. She incessantly believed that the reason why Neil asked for a divorce during the "Married At First Sight" Season 3 finale was because of the way she treated her during their first weeks together.

Although he was clearly upset with Sam in the beginning, Neil shared that he has completely forgiven her. The reality star added that he appreciated their friendship and is proud of the changes he saw in her. In spite of it, Neil held that he is just not ready to give his marriage with Sam another shot. While he enjoys her company, Neil said that he just does not feel the same way about Sam.

"It's not that I have a strong resentment, hate or anything like that; it's just been internal passionate love that I don't have on that level," he explained.
