‘Battlefield 5’ updates: Developer company DICE will not release new content to the CTE [VIDEO]

First person shooter game "Battlefield 5" will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

In the past few weeks, the internet was full of information that "Battlefield" franchise has a chance to change the polarity of the modern combat wave into a new era for gaming to World War I. Now, there is new information with regard to the prototype content.

David Sirland, DICE LA producer unveiled via Twitter that all prototype content, including maps, are still available on the CTE. As a result, the company has no plans to shut the servers down now. Since a new "Battlefield" is still in development, it is rational that the team would be channeling more energy on the upcoming title.

According to VG247, EA has the next shooter slated for the 2016 holiday season, and back in 2014, CFO Blake Jorgensen pointed out that the shooter would be "a return to a Battlefield military-style game." Meanwhile, February this year saw a Swiss retailer listing "Battlefield 5" as a multiplayer tactical shooter" set during World War I with an Oct. 26 placeholder.

While "Battlefield 4" launched at GDC 2013, fans have not heard any teases on a similar release for GDC 2016, which is scheduled for next week. Instead hosting its usual press conference on Monday before E3, EA is hosting two offsite events during E3 2016 in June.

The company will host public gameplay events in Los Angeles and London, two days before the annual trade show commences, according to a different report by the same publication. There will be a press conference on Sunday, June 12, and playable games will be released at its free EA Play events set for June 12-14.

LA events will happen at Club Nokia, while London events will take place at The Mermaid. Play LA will run for three consecutive days, and the London event will see Play London lasting for one day only - June 12.

Unless the developer company has plans to announce the game before E3, EA Play would be the best timing to unveil "Battlefield 5." Here is footage for what fans should expect seeing in the upcoming "Battlefield 5."
